SunLink Channel Gateway [SunSoft, Inc]

SunLink(TM) Channel Gateway is a VME two-card-slot board assembly thatallows a UNIX workstation system to connect to an IBM mainframe channel.The workstation system can then run software (such as SunLink Local3270), enabling it to emulate a wide range of local, channel-attacheddevices. A single SunLink Channel Gateway can work with multipleconcurrent device emulations, and a single workstation system canaccommodate two Channel Gateways. SunLink Channel Gateway now supportsthe SPARCserver(TM) 600MP series.SunLink Channel Gateway provides a high-speed link (up to 3 MB persecond) to an IBM block multiplexer channel. For ease of configuration,SunLink Channel Gateway is fully software configurable and requires nomodification to host hardware or software.
